The M3W is nothing like that and is a "toy" much like a Caterham or a big bike, a totally different market. I think that the marketing people at Morgan will have a hard time selling the new M3W without the visual impact of a big V-Twin hanging out at the front .....
On the other hand .... perhaps the big V Twin appeals to the more "traditional" customer. Most people now wouldn't know what an engine of any type even looked like.
The overall appearance of the car will be more important and if it's something different, reliable and exciting to drive, it will sell. Also an enclosed engine bay can hide a multitude of sins - even an electric motor.
