I've thrown in the towel in trying to figure out where this oily deposit is coming from. It is consistent in appearing only after a drive. When I got under to ensure any extra grease was cleaned away I did notice something that seems odd to me. The king pins were replaced so I assume the whole assembly is dismantled. I've found significant traces of the red grease I normally use along with clear grease that was used to grease the nipples. Logic for me would dictate any old stuff would be gone and frankly, it would be a ton cleaner under there than it is.
Sounding like a defeatist but truly disliking my car since getting it back from Oakmere. Never have I had to keep mopping up my garage floor both front and rear of the car, zero confidence in what actually was completed etc. Let alone the centre locks being so tight it took 20 mins of hammering away to get just one off!
Apologies for the rant. Just massively frustrated in having a car sitting in the garage and not having much confidence in it takes its toll.
