I like gears so much I'm having an extra one fitted
I imagine its my biking heritage that has driven my love of using gears to keep an engine 'on song'.
I can understand that, the 4 speed on my Kent 4/4 wasn't the best for motorway work and long distance touring.
Even with my 5-speed box Motorways can be a bit tiring, 70 mph equates to just over 3000rpm. but if you chill and drop the cruise to 65mph it's fine.
Yep, on mine, using GPS speed and tacho, I'm currently hitting about 3100rpm at 60mph. The 0.82 five gear ratio should drop that to about 2500rpm making it a lot more comfortable.
