Actually, the Kevlar drive belt itself is probably the 2nd most reliable component of the outgoing 3 Wheeler, the Mazda gearbox being the most reliable part.

Not just the most reliable but the best feature as well smile

Like Richard I had misgivings of drive belts when first introduced but they have more than proved themselves over 30 years or more. I was impressed that the exact same belt tension (30° of twist) remained on my M3W from new after 9000 miles. Even Phil Bleazey admitted that his chain conversion acheived little in improving his M3W.
