I thought the whole thrust of evs was because ice engined vehicles are to be banned. Maybe you and I at our age will have the luxury of different vehicles for different purposes but the world we are leaving for the young ( which is what has got us into this whole area) will not be giving them the same choices if we allow ourselves to be chanelled down a narrow path.
TG used loads of regeneration, it was just hilly.
I agree with most of your post Tim (well I hope the prediction), except the "dirt cheap fun motoring". Your Morgan gives you that but not a new elec car which costs twice the price of it's ice equivalent and obligates me to contribute towards your purchase (gov grant).
