It's really sad to read all this and to realise that even though I am a lifetime fan and have owned six Morgans ( not 3w) I'm kind of ashamed of the factory response. 3 were new and each had significant problems which were very difficult to get sorted and which proved expensive to fix when really should have been factory guarantee fixes in my opinion. Add to that, that some simple fixes like Roger's bump stops so improved my last new car...was it covering poor leaf spring problems or just an improvement that could so easily have been on the car? When I bought a new roadster in 2004 it really felt as if the factory had developed it properly. It was really well sorted. Within 300 miles the offside exhaust fell off and as I repaired it in the posh hotel's car park in Fontainebleau, much to the hotel's amazement, as I lay under the car I discovered the mountings on that side had been screwed in with naff screws! Nothing like the nearside fittings. I mean, really? It was £38 T and two weeks old.
In the end ( after the next new one in 2014 where the prop shaft leaked oil where it joined the gearbox into the floor and my trousers, the rear suspension collapsed and the engine mounting on one side failed) I sold new and went back to older. My current plus 4 is mid eighties and I haven't objected to upgrading parts because it's old! It's also more comfortable somehow, those old slab seats really work. It sounds great too. And no ground clearance problems!
I haven't tried the new cx range but then I see the post today that 9 are waiting for factory radiator parts...waiting? Surely the factory should be sorting all that out instantly?

It's just so disappointing.
Weirdly though, I still love them!
