Arwyn ... I thought that at first .... but then realised he'd got over into the lane he needed for the imminent motorway split coming up (that I presume he knew was on the way) ... I tend to do the same (especially when I'm in the camper towing my big trailer) as drivers seem less and less willing to let you out these days ... makes sense to get into the correct lane in good time.
