I have looked under both seats of my Coupe but there is no amp in my car. The sound quality which I have is definitely powerful enough to put up a good fight with the side pipes so I assume that either the amp in the Pioneer AVH-Z7000DAB is good enough or at some point an additional amp has been fitted in the past that I have yet to find.
The system is also fitted with a reversing camera and parking sensor - but in reality you can't see anything on the reversing camera. The system has apple carplay which is fine for verbal navigation - but again the screen is completely useless as you can't see anything.
My dislike of the system I have, is not helped by the fact that every time I turn the ignition on, it is a race to press the start button before the screen covers it up and then the screen smacks the dash.
I have concluded that if I can get a single DIN unit with similar sound quality, apple car play and DAB - which matches the looks of the interior (and won't have an iPad floating screen) then I will be very happy. The screen for the reversing camera and satnav that I have is next to useless, other than when parked in the garage with no lighting on or underground car parks.
I am still trying to engage with Kraemer Automotive who I think are capable of giving me what I want, but so far they are not responding to any emails.
