After I wrote my last post regarding the effectiveness (or not ) of the screen that I have on the current set up, I went down to the local shop in my wife's Smart and the sun was very low and very obviously shining on the screen and I had no problem seeing the screen. I therefore suspect that the issue I have is more related to the age of the screen technology which presumably is better on newer product.

The quote of nearly £1000 for installation of a £599.99 unit does make you stop and think a bit - presumably that included fitting of a reversing camera and parking sensors ?

No I am not necessarily looking for wireless ACP. I currently have a small lead in the passenger glove box area which is OK and charges the phone. I have the same set up in a DB11 which works for me, primarily because the battery life on my phone is a bit lacking, so I am happy to keep it plugged in and charging, so don't necessarily want wireless.

I will give Kraemer a prod in German tomorrow and see if that makes any difference, but they do appear to have the technology to deliver the functionality I want together with the design, so it is a bit frustrating that they can't even acknowledge the emails.

If it makes you feel any better this is what the previous custodian of my Plus 8 paid back in 1999 when the car was new, he worked in the music industry in London and kept the car in his Mews house ;-) The Blaupunkt is a 100w Bass Booster behind the passenger seat the output of the system is sufficient to overcome the Librands Sport exhaust if necessary, in truth I only turn it on when fettling/servicing in the garage.
