thanks for the feedback The amp in your head unit does look quite powerful (4x50w in 4 ohms) which must make for a toasty install!
I thought I remembered looking at that head unit some time back and I was told you could program the stop angle as the display opened to avoid it braining itself. Is this any help ?

I have been hunting any other installation spots for them amp and it would appear down at the front of the passenger footwell. There is an angled plank that your soles rest on. (not asking you to go grubbing around in the footwell).
I am going to take a look around in there tomorrow morning.
