It also keeps the associated industries alive - these cars need work, maintenance and parts as they get used. I fear that boat has already sailed, my last V8 roadster sold for just shy of £9k nd would probably sell for around £23k now, previously I’d sold a fully rebuilt near concourse roadster for the same amount that would be at least £18k now. I used to buy rubber bumper GTs with an MOT for £1 - 1.5K similar cars are now around £4K

However I do agree that they remain generally affordable and make a great entry into the classic car world. Parts and availability, ease of repair and damn fine looks all help.
