To that point - when I was younger and ran only one car I was willing to accept some more polar compromises.
A 968 Club Sport with fixed full race buckets, no sound insulation and wonderful driving characteristics.
A highly tuned GT-R that could not do 12mpg even when being gentle, and only had a 60L tank.
I used these every day for a business. The GT-R did over 100,000 miles in a high state of tune. I did not really consider it as a rounded decision. GT-R, fast, fun.
I am not so certain that I can be bothered to do that as I am older, creakier and wiser. Oh and roads are so busy you cannot go anywhere at any speed without being a loon or getting a "photo".
