It’s the new pandemic! The last one spoiled the fun a bit and since then, I too have lost the love of driving around aimlessly. I still have an occasional short local tour but nothing like I did when I first bought my Morgan.
I changed my Ferrari recently thinking an up to date one with all modern conveniences and the folding spider roof would re-enthuse me. It really did, it was fantastic. For me, it was the best one on the market, very red and with all the fancy carbon stuff, buying it was exciting.
It all went south when the alternator failed shortly after I bought it, and just as we’d started a Lake District tour, I sold it back to Ferrari yesterday for a full refund, they were very understanding and embarrassed that such a situation could happen. The defect isn’t really a big deal but it sucked the fun out of the whole experience so I’m out for now and I’ll see how I feel about it next year.
