I've just been looking back at some recent emails and was reminded I received one about the MSCC Insurance Policy and that I should add my wife to my membership.
I haven't yet done so as I cannot fathom what is insured.
Here's the document in full, sent via our local MSCC Centre:
MSCC Insurance Policy Requirements 4.7.24
A single MSCC membership gives access to the named person to all aspects of
Club/Centre activities including All Member insurance cover. A joint MSCC
membership gives access to all named people- these can be family members living
at the same address or a driver/carer in certain circumstances- whose name only
needs to be registered with the MSCC membership secretary.
If they are not named they only have guest status and are able to attend one or two
Club/Centre events before they are encouraged to join. Adding joint members costs
no more for the primary member; the named person is then eligible for Club benefits
(however only one issue of Miscellany is sent, and only one e mail address can be
used to access the members’ area of the website).
All Member insurance cover does not apply to cars or people in cars; personal
insurance and public liability cover these aspects, but All Member insurance is a
requirement for anyone attending MSCC and Centre activities.[/quote]
