Whereas I have put my money where my mouth is, on the basis of that which I hope might be a reasonable risk analysis.
Having been around a while at the sharp end of things clearing up when whatever has been bought into as the latest and greatest idea in new kit by the decision makers, to then rush around trying to resolve failures, or clean up after it all fails, or even goes terribly wrong..! As such I more have come to accept that there are quite a few risks to life, and in truth can on occasion struggle to understand why I am still around given the number of real risks I took just to keep things going while at work, or in self- building the home in which I live and so much else...If choosing to drive an old Morgan in todays traffic and on a rare occasion to take on a circa 4k mile trip in it, was out of my comfort zone but then married to one of life`s natural adventurers... The risks of not doing so...? Hmm..
As for Blowing the Bl%dy Doors Off... I do wonder how many modern garage doors might be expected to blow off, if the garage is on fire given all we might have stored in them over the years...what about today... ? Yeah well might be worth re-assessing the risks, especially when even a fireman seems not to have carried out logical (?) risk assessment for the best approach for a garage on fire...?
