GP, sorry but the reduced requirement of old type driver skills is entirely to be expected in an ever advancing technological world in which many baby boomers like myself feel uncomfortable at times to operate within...? I remember a few decades back when a friend was buying a replacement car for himself, and which his father also drove on occasion, my friend bought an automatic as it it was thought might provide his dad with more time to pay attention to the road instead of making gear changes... I suspect much the same could apply to many baby boomers who as opposed to fighting against technology might just look for the advantages it might provide for the old men they have become... ? (-:
