Just one point on the tenax: Prior to purchasing our first Morgan some years ago, we first hired one from Berrybrook. The hood was about 6 years old and was badly torn on both sides in that fastener area certainly due to the inexperience of a multitude of hirers. The point I am making is that there has to be a sacrificial point somewhere…broken tenax or possibility of a torn hood if the tenax does not let go ?

I quite understand what you mean Doug, although also for an experienced Morgan owner doing the procedures the right way, a broken Tenax pin is not an exception and can easily damage the body panel/paintwork. So something a bit sturdier, e/g from stainless steel would be more comforting than the original chromed brass ones!
