Indeed. If MMC can get their products into Veblen Goods territory they can relax a bit. But I think they might need to get their production quality absolutely nailed to do so. No more radiator debacles.

The ability and capability to tailor 'hand made' cars to eg an individual's own design, works to Morgan's advantage. Whilst reliability and quality needs to rise, its easier to achieve that with very high value, low volume production with generous profit margins.

The wealthy usually have more than enough cars in their garage to not worry too much about placing an over reliance on any specific vehicle to perform on a given day. Morgan IMHO now need to lift the brand perception even further upwards and place their product eg Midsummer at key events like Monaco Boat week ,giving it greater exposure and create greater awareness amongst the filthy rich of this hand built car..
