I moved to an MY23 Plus Four auto from a 2002 Plus 8. The only regret is no V8 sound! That could be cured by exhaust valve systems that are being developed. I tried a car used to develope one last year.
Done 15k miles in two years and it has been superb. One warrany fix for dash gauge failure that was a quick fix, only 4 days. Morgan free recovery to dealer, diagnosed next day, part ( new pcb) from factory to dealer next day, car picked up day 4. Tuesday to Friday. Train to station minutes from dealer who picked me up. Nice drive home.
Car performs really well. Plenty of power over a wide rev range. Auto or paddle/stick gearchange. 45+mpgwithout trying ( 50+ if pootling about). Comfort excellent. Do I need the extra bhp of a P6? No. P4 has plenty.
I've tried to follow the postings of former trad to CX members like yourself more closely, as opposed to new to Morgan CX owners to get a greater sense of their experiences and journey.in the transition from a trad. And in the main they are very reassuring, despite some of the set backs, I don't see many looking to jump back into a trad.
