The FORD guys in Mainz are very strange. So not shure to buy it there. Also not available at free internetdealers in Germany.
Thinking about the next step. My daughter is just in London?

René, as I mentioned above the fuel pump controller jumpering was a very temporary "get you home" fix. Not surprised the exhaust smells strange as its probably over fuelling and may in time throw a MIL warning. Not sure if you saw my link but I bought one recently as a spare
here. I'm sure there may be sources other than my China one but it arrived in a relatively short time.
