I dunno....another $100 or so for something you and those around you depend on for survival seems reasonable to me. There are times/places where one can cut corners on an automobile project. For me, steering/suspension, brake system, and critical fasteners is where I draw the line.
FWIW, brake system pressure can exceed 1000 psi in a panic stop, and run several hundred psi in routine driving. Something to think about.
