If we're being fair, we should be comparing like for like not apples vs oranges.

The CX Plus Four is a very different vehicle to the 2010 +4.

Quite possibly like comparing a MY2000 Rover Mini to a new BMW Mini. Both are great vehicles in their own right but they are distinctly different both in terms of manufacturing process, technology, and what they offer.

Do I wish the new Plus Four had a lower price to entry, of course! Nevertheless, I'm also aware that MMC needs to amortise the cost of the CX platform development over these new vehicles, so I do understand why the price increase wasn't linear.

PS - is anyone else reminded of the Japanese national flag when looking at the Daily Telegraph article? Looking at that backdrop I was expecting to see Honda's NSX vIII, Nissan's latest Godzilla GTR or Toyota's reboot of the LFA.
