Upholstery cleaner or soft top cleaner will clean the inside of the hood. You may need to agitate with a soft nylon type brush, then clean off with a damp cloth. The hood frame rubs on the inside and leaves black marks.
With the mk1 Roadster, I tried everything ( but not soft top cleaner...). I even took the hood off the car & scrubbed it. Still looked filthy
Agree about the frame. I'm thinking about putting a strip of white electrical tape around the frame, between frame & hood. Shouldn't show too much. I'll have a play...
