Tom Carey's article in the DT today, alluding to Guy Ritchie's attendance at the race, ended with the sentence "Lock, Stock Ferrari and Two Smoking Red Bulls" 👏😎

I didn't watch it after last years debacle but read the results this morning - one word KARMA.. Yip, it's early days but here's hoping little Jack Horner and Crashstappens luck continues for a few more races. Yes that would be good, I'm surprised he hasn't blamed Ferrari for his failures.... indeed... the interesting thing will be to see the champ's driving when in close combat. Last year he was in a 2-way battle with one other driver. This year there's already four drivers who he may need to get past. If the champ keeps having accidents it'll be a lot clearer who's fault it is. It looks like Ferrari's power package is ahead of the game. Adrian Newey has produced a car that's slippery, with downforce. Merc think there's performance to unlock, but all the Merc-powered teams look like they're struggling: it's unlikely that's a coincidence. Alpine looks ok, but with only two cars will they get enough data to keep their power development up with the rest? Tyre management is clearly more of a thing this year, and there's a big win for the team that can get new tyres up to temperature quickly without shortening their life. So far, it looks like Ferrari are best placed. It's going to be the most interesting season for years Will

That was a very fun race to watch. I hope this is a sign of what's to come this year. I think Mercedes has some issues, but I can see them being ironed out quickly...and the competition for the from getting more intense.

Lewis and Verstappen could be in for a very tough time at least I hope they are as it will prove the sport is back in rude health and we can enjoy it once again.

Spot on Paul, the Co-pilot and I watched, enthralled all the way through. In past years she slept between the good bits... this year, last week and his, she didn't.
I'm putting my money on Ferrari to win one of the two championships, and I'd go even money on both!

I was glued to the TV the whole race. Yes, the new rules seem to be making a huge difference. Can't wait to see what happens in 2 weeks.

Agreed, the first 2 races have been great to watch, we also don't seem to be suffering the start & first corner pile-ups so perhaps the new aero rules are helping with this too

I couldn't agree more and my wine rack is taking a bit of a hammering. I've decided that any podium place deserves full recognition from me.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg
