I suppose on the plus side if anyone does decide to go with Aluminium ones that means more Mag wheels in circulation for me to buy... laugh2

Thanks for the clarification. The car was bought by a chap in Germany in the mid-1990s, and (sadly) I have no idea what became of it after that. A splendid car, one of those "I should have kept"

Crikey, that’s a bold sentiment to express publicly.

Any update for you guys - OZ have replied about producing another batch of magnesium wheels - they are “not viable to produce anymore” so will not be possible.

So it just remains on getting the current ones repaired where possible.

Interesting response, I presume it is a monetory thing - i.e. if its going to cost a fortune no one would buy them so pointless for them to even respond to and not viable. Shame though..

I've been tidying some old RACMSA magazines recently and found this ad from around the era of early Aero's, don't know if they still exist - but worth a search ?

The UK distributor is no longer trading and Technomagnesio in Italy are still a wheel manufacturer but all the wheels i can find on their website are aluminium...

I had a call from Williams earlier, they have an Aero in with 2 cracked wheels and it's failed MOT :-(

Sadly i don't have any more spares. This is quickly becoming a real issue.

I'll chase the aluminium wheel guy.

Ollie/Verysideways, any luck with either the aluminium wheel guy, or the new OZ importer? Just hoping. And on a related point I had reason to track down sources for the suspension rose joints, track rod ends and wheel bearings (which might suffer more wear with a slightly heavier wheel?), so if you ever get that far and that information could help, then let me know.
