Charlie,
I assume that this is not an agreed value policy, which is ok for the first year or two as depreciation should not be too high. With agreed value if you, say, have $50,000 then if totaled they write you a check for $50,000. Just be sure you have first option to buy it back.
With ordinary insurance, regardless of deductible, they pay you the blue book value, or equiv. So maybe you paid $50,000 and by year 3 blue book says $35,000 that is what you get. Agreed value would have paid you $50,000.
I do keep one +4 with ordinary insurance so I can use whenever, but can take the risk for real value vs blue book if I total it as difference is not too great.
Insurance is always a trade off.
Curious: Does Michigan require you to have a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license for the 3 Wheeler or is it if you ride on it like a Can Am you need the endorsement or if you ride "in" it as in the 3 wheeler you do not?
Sounds like you need a snow plow as an option from the dealer?
Enjoy it. You will find it great fun.
