Just checked my gaps. 2mm even either side of the bonnet hinge.
Bonnet to wing gap is 17mm both sides. It does look wide, always did, but is reasonably consistent along the lengths. The bonnet corners grind away on the cowl and scuttle though, which is why I fitted some small neoprene pads at each corner, so there is definite movement there.
