I'll try Dave's proposal, I have a nice modellers tool kit, due to an unfortunate addiction to making plastic Aircraft kits, brought on by Airfix and Woolworths in the early 1960s and un-curable, but that is another story.
But Jay's suggestion of a more robust TENEX fastener mount is also good. Using a 2 screw mounted backplate makes it easy to replace if (when) I do it again and means I don't have to drill out the old one. It also means I can mount the TENEX Stud 2 or 3mm higher to relieve pressure on the thing.
So, where to buy? Some research needed.
