Having looked at the kit and the way it goes together, the most difficult part would appear to be unscrewing the upper ball joint and installing the upper steering arm. The rest of it would go together quickly and the only re-alignment of the steering would be re-setting the toe-in. You could do this in your garage if you were careful and had some scrap plywood to make an alignment rack.
I am more in agreement with 2 hours of shop time being needed vs the 8 hours I was quoted. I also think the track rod extensions need to be black so as to not be so obtrusive.
Was the dealer that quoted you 8 hours in California or in Scottsdale?
