Perhaps the 'issue' here is that the orange plug really is the upper fill mark and not just a vent, as we previously thought. If evidence suggests that those filling to this point in the BB's have reduced rattle and noise, then this might be the way forward, despite 'guidance' to the contrary. Judging by the stories of failures thus far, it can't do any harm, can it?!
