Guys if you look back you will see I've added a fuel tank drain. I measure what goes in, then after each session I drain the tank. Working out what I've used againt track distance and how many laps, I can work out mpg and how much I'll need for the race etc


Why not one of these flow meter , won't the fuel used vary track to track and depend on practice or race and conditions, with this you could see real time. Unless your weight is an issue, the car I mean. grin2


Yes the fuel usage will alter from track to track. This is the best way to monitor it for this reason

Yes I appreciate that but, would not a real time readout sent to the pits from a mass flow meter, (they can be very accurate), as per F1 etc, give you better feedback and save time and effort? Just a thought. As for weight I know its accumulative and every bit saved counts, but in this case the benefit might actually out weigh the increase.


I think my way will work for the time being. I think using F1 tech may be going to far lol
