I'm trying to get my worn ( and noisey) sprocket replaced but dealer isn't rushing it exactly...
How close are you to the warranty cutoff?
He doesn't know of a steel sprocket - never heard of one he said but would ask the factory - I'm still waiting for a response.
Good luck with that. Are you a Saint with Patience?
Would MMC put an alloy one on and risk it wearing out again? What is the factory currently fitting to production cars?
Yup. If it pushes the next replacement into non covered territory.
How did you get a steel one?
When in Panic, or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout!
Loud, obnoxious and persistent. Morgan's choice of alloys was wrong and they should pay for their decision. The belt, if properly set up, should easily last for 100,000 miles. The sprockets should as well. This is material's technology and somebody went cheap. Bad mistake.
from Morgan? or another dealer? How much was it? cheers Andy, East sussex
