Yes, Roger - and thank you. I like the idea of a bit of light spannering but the reality is that I'm not really very good at it. So, whilst a cheap old one might seem like fun there is the danger that it will turn out not to be such fun. On the other hand, Oakmere Morgan is within an hour of my house and they have a 2009 model 4/4 with the folding windscreen and some other nice bits that is within budget. They also have a new orange 4/4 "speedster" which looks fantastic but I might regret the lack of practicality. (And others have suggested that buying new is not necessarily the way into trouble-free ownership experience.)
