I'm with you Jays, but then I always take travel insurance (now). There was a time I never worried. I too would not expect more than the airfare back.
I grew up as an expat kid. Boarding school in the UK, parents wherever in Africa and Asia and have experienced many 12 hour plus delays, with VC10 engines changes in London and Beiruit and overnight stops - and great fun as a teenager. But I digress!
