Dave, I'm trying out a Provent 200 filtration and catch tank mod to my GDI. Ford say they've cracked the GDI problem but I thought it worth the effort.. i'll see how it goes.

Tim, its basically an oil separator with a relief valve. What I like about it is it has a renewable filter element so you can see what crap comes out. My logic is if the GDI is prone to coking inlet valves then the last thing it needs is oily air from engine blowby going back into the inlet. I don't like the idea of it being open vent either so this ought to work, plus it can drain the oil either back to sump or to a tank.
