What I have found out with opening up the exhaust is that the throttle response is improved, just breathes better. I found the exhaust loudness is based now on the gas petal position. The more you push on the gas petal the louder the exhaust noise is. If you putt-putt around it's not that much louder than stock but if you floor it, you know it now!
still quieter than any Harley Davidson bike.
