Rob, I understand your feelings regarding the top. I much preferred the manual hood on my base model Z3 over the powered hood on the Boxster. The Z3 was so quick and easy. I got soaked in the Boxster once. By the time I could stop and then wait the 15 seconds for the roof to raise the short cloudburst had almost finished...
