Good quality coil springs should not "settle" at all, at least not for many thousands of miles. I have now done nearly 50,000 km on the front Suplex suspension and it shows no sign of dropping at all. Leaf springs, and particularly those used by Morgan arounds 2012 frown , are much more prone to "settling".
