Maybe that's the get out clause in answer to Jay's question regarding converting back Euro 4 spec cars.
No, the SVA cars are individually approved - each one is taken to a DVLA testing centre in Exeter. It's a completely separate process to building a Euro4 homologated car and then modifying it which would all be done at MMC.
Just to add to the confusion, there is a small batch of dealer ordered SVA cars due to go through production alongside the Euro4 ones. These should be available quicker and could work out cheaper than a Euro4 modified vehicle.
It'll be interesting what spec the USA will be getting....
