Maybe the removed parts go back to the production line to be fitted and then removed again by AR later? I didn't notice many M3Ws with large mudguards and Australian type air filters awaiting delivery when I was at Malvern recently. As mentioned, all factored in the conversion cost and not a paperwork exercise.

Steering arm changes to the front uprights are interesting with the increased ride height. A better mudguard stay mount and no bump steer issues this time. The ride height change may not be a bad thing once you get used to the look, less chance of bending the rear bodywork on a kerb or speed hump. Not sure what it will do for the handling though, maybe not much change for normal driving?
