The Urban Cooling Kit isn't the most elegant of things but you shouldn't be so dismissive of it's benefits for the S&S engine in the M3W installation Phil. Excessive heat will kill your expensive engine and the buzz of the fan on a hot day in traffic is very reassuring. I have an oil pressure and temperature gauge and I can assure you that the cooling kit does work and does keep things just within reasonable limits.
It also helps duct cooling air to the back of the engine when on the move, as it was never designed to run with only one side into the airflow, unlike a Guzzi. It's not pretty but it is a help to keeping your engine happy.
