Well done. When we came back from Kenya to Holland I had an Indian Enfield Bullet 350 that was 3 months old.
When I tried to register it I was told as it was under 6 months old I must be a car importer & as the model was not registered in Holland that would be €10k please. I suggested I scrapped it or didn't register it, no dice it was imported please pay. They could do nothing as it was EU rules.
Having driven from Den Haag to Utrecht for an appeal the guy in charge of the department appeared. He was retiring that week but had had an Enfield Bullet in the 50s. Appeal accepted.
