You have to re-apply for you driving licence when you reach 70 years-of-age. You have to surrender your paper licence.
However I understand it is increasingly more difficult to hire a car when you reach a certain age. Have any TMers had any problems?
We used to have that issue when my late F-I-L visited us here from Spain. Got worse at 80 but we never failed to hire him one. It just cost.
Insurance for cars and bikes here in the UK becomes more difficult over 70 or at least more expensive
