Your car will drive terribly, without power, without VCT, without input from the Lambda sensors. And much too fat in the mix (so nothing will break this emergency mode is set so fat).
But for me the error was still there! And that is logical, if it was because of the brake pedal switch. Because this is a switch to another mapping, which also remains in the emergency program.
