Looks like the position light is not used in the US version.
The green/white wire shown in your post above is as mentioned already, r/h (passenger side on US car) indicator. This needs to ultimately connect to orange wire on r/h JW headlamp and green/red to orange on l/h headlamp.
It seems the red and white pair of wires from the OE indicators themselves although not shown in the chassis loom diagram, connect to the standard colour coded wires as mentioned above. Check which is the live side though (red or white?) as this is the relevant one, ground side can be ignored in this case.
