Eventually got around to sorting this. I decided to move/bend the stainless tube away from the throttle sensor before trimming the hose.

As the tube was hard up against the camshaft position sensor I made some room to move it over by rotating the senor 90 degs. Figured it was probably only an inductive device so should be ok (and has not thrown up any error codes so far after a couple of decent runs).

I trimmed about 20mm from the horizontal leg of the hose. As well as cooking the TB it was probably impeding the coolant flow too.

Cam position sensor rotated.

Had to knock up a little bracket to secure the sensor in the new position.
