Sure enough I could see the outline of the body of a classic 2CV held aloft in the roof of the building.

It was almost a religious experience and it was only The Jesuits talking in my head ( that happens a lot !!) that stopped from dropping to one knee and singing praise to the false god in the false roof .

There were lots of boxes with Citroen parts..engine ,gearbox, wheels,panels and folders of tax discs and invoices.!!!

Yes indeed from initial inspection it was a 50/60s ripple bodied 2CV..all the parts were there..but not necessarily in the right order.

The gimp ,called Royston, said he had to lock up and slaughter a pig so I departed with an invitation to return on the morrow to meet the current custodian.

It had been a good day..a very good day.
