I have absolutely no idea what may have happened but it appears that a number of images are symply not on the server. I supose it is possible that the service provider has had issues and some files have been lost. I have searched for the two images below and they are not on the server as far as I can see.

The fact that the file name unusually contains the word "thumbnail" may be part of the story.
I will investigate further.
