Talking to local Costa Manager today. Yesterday she said to a woman “oh you have a lot of shopping” yes we had to come here to do our shopping as we are from Braintree & so shops are shut. (Tier 4) But says manager we are tier 2 & you have come from a tier 4. “Yes.” Ok I will do you a take away only. Result a stream of verbal abuse. Manager stood her ground & threatened the police. Well done I say. We are in this position thanks to the idiots not taking heed or not understanding the obvious.
It is the same on many of the edges of Zone 4. My sister lives near Horsham, Zone 2. On Sunday it was crawling with shoppers, most from Southern Surry, including Guildford, Zone 4.
Short of putting all of England into Zone 4 people will travel to get what they want.
It does seem that patience, on both sides, is wearing rather thin, particularly amongst the young.
