We hired a six-berth motor home for the two of us for the Goodwood Revival this year. Put me off for life and

has even stronger views. Never mind that it was as wide as a full blown truck, the shower was rubbish - more like a drip on a stick, the bed (so called) was uncomfortable. The cooking facilities were also limited. Our chums who own such monstrosities generally eat at pubs at lunchtime and snack in the van in the evening; or vice versa. As said before we could afford a lot of nice hotels for the price of something worth having with a bed on wheels. Mind you we did see some accommodation based on an articulated trailer with wind out sections. I guess if I was wealthy enough I could rent one and have some lackey set it up for me.
If thinking of buying one my advice would be to hire one first. This could stop one making an expensive mistake
